With the recent information regarding the BLM demonstrations that Donald Trump had planned to use the Insurrection Act to put down the demonstrations and take control, it is even clearer that previously published information about Jan 6th is correct.
“One of the most critical items of the planning was the offering by Trump of 10,000 National Guard troops to be at the capital on January 6. While this sounds like a preventative action, it was not. He planned to have a select group of National Guard units with commanders that were aligned with him and would obey his orders without question. He intended, that once the insurrectionists attacked the capital and were inside, the guard troops would charge into the capital to “quell the violence”. This would be seen as a noble action on his part when in fact the troops would take over the capitol, and imprison the Senators and Representatives. They would be held in various rooms in the capital in the name of safety. The certification of the election would be totally stopped and Trump would declare martial law. Basically, a coup d’état would have been implemented and be successful. Trump would then remain as president under this false pretense.
Fortunately, speaker of the house Pelosi, saw through this and refused having the National Guard troops on site. This meant that when the troops were eventually needed, they were not a handpicked, select group and acted to protect the capitol and the government instead of taking over the government.”
